Lockport Marketplace and Deli got a nice mention (plus pictures) in Onlyinyourstate.com, an online magazine read by more than 30,000,000 people per month.
Betsy Rathburn posted the news clip October 31 in an article entitled “11 neighborhood restaurants in Minnesota with food so good you’ll be back for seconds.”
Rathburn wrote, “These 11 little-known restaurants in Minnesota are hard to find but worth the search.”
Among those little-known hotspots was Lockport, she said, “Stop in for breakfast or lunch at this repurposed gas station in Lutsen. Serving everything from pasties to burgers, this little cafe is a can’t-miss-it stop on any trip up north. Address: 5362 West Highway 61, Lutsen.”
Lockport also features homemade desserts, fresh pastries and baked goods including pies, muffins, cookies, and caramel rolls.
Opened in 1928, Lockport is more than a restaurant. It is also a friendly one-stop shop for groceries, gas, espresso, supplies and more.
Lockport is owned and operated by Deb and Nan.
