Local students earn scholarship renewals

The Lloyd K. Johnson Foundation board of directors has announced the recipients of the renewal and second renewal scholarship awards of the Lloyd K. Johnson Post-Secondary School Scholarship.

Local students who have been awarded a renewal or second renewal scholarship for 2013- 2014 include Wayne (Gunnar) Anderson, Jordan Lack, Bradley VanDoren and Linnea Leonard.

A renewal scholarship is considered by the board for all recipients of the Post-Secondary School Scholarship who have, through the academic year, continued as full-time students at Lake Superior College in Duluth, maintained a minimum GPA of 2.0 or above and maintained satisfactory academic progress including completing all credits within the semester.

The renewal scholarship pays for all tuition, fees and books for another academic year at Lake Superior College. A second renewal includes the above criteria but is for one academic semester beginning fall 2013.
