The 2023 local producer scholarship applications are due by May 31, 2023. The Cook County Co-op will make its funding decisions by June 30, 2023.
Preference will be given to agricultural and value added food producers whose mission, values, and practices have demonstrated a need and plan to use the grant, enhance the local food system, and work cooperatively with or purchase directly from other local farmers, producers, or businesses.
Scholarships range from $500 to $750.
Those applying must reside in or have a farm or food-related production business in Cook County. You must be established in your business for at least six months before applying, and you can’t receive a scholarship if you were awarded one last year.
