Recently, Don Ingram, a member of Eastern Star Emera Chapter No.160, delivered a check from the chapter to Care Center Activities Director Kay Rosenthal. The money will be used by the Care Center for beauty shop supplies and for raised garden beds next spring.
The local Eastern Star Chapter has been very active this holiday season, making donations to area Care Centers and the Salvation Army.
Recently, Don Ingram, a member of Emera Chapter No. 160 in Two Harbors, and also a resident of the Cook County North Shore Care Center, delivered a check from the chapter to Care Center Activities Director Kay Rosenthal. The money will be used by the Care Center for beauty shop supplies and for raised garden beds next spring.
Emera Chapter was also very pleased to present checks to the Cook and Lake County Salvation Army.
Emera is also donating to two Care Centers in Lake County.
Emera Chapter No. 160 serves members from Duluth to Grand Marais.
The chapter and recipients were thrilled to learn that the Order of Eastern Star, Grand Chapter of Minnesota would also match these funds, 2 to 1!
Eastern Star was happy to be able to multiply its dollars in this way.
