WDSE•WRPT is pleased to invite you to tune in Thursday, January 17 at 8 p.m. on PBS North (check your local listings) to watch Making It Up North’s new episode, “Making It By Hand,” which features North Shore ceramic artist Hannah Palma and Grand Marais’ Abby Tofte’s new shop that celebrates the Big Lake.
The episode will feature creative entrepreneurs who have made a living “by hand,” whether through different mediums such as ceramics, jewelry, or photography, or they’ve built a business to showcase local works.
The show will also highlight how jewelry artist Louise Pajack Guillou built Atelier & Stone by collaborating with Wolfskull Creative’s Michelle Bennett, and musician Peter Witrak, who creates kinetic sculptures with statewide appeal.
Emmy-nominated Making It Up North, in its second season, highlights creative entrepreneurs in northern Minnesota who know what it takes to make it in today’s business climate.
The show is a production of the Duluth-Superior Area Educational Television Corporation, known by its call letters as WDSE•WRPT. It is a trusted nonprofit community partner providing media and services for the public good since 1964.
In addition to providing national entertaining and educational programming through PBS and other partners, they also produce nine-plus shows locally, highlighting the people, businesses and issues central to the Northland.
