The board of directors of the Lloyd K. Johnson Foundation is pleased to announce the 2011 recipient of the Lloyd K. Johnson Post-Secondary School Scholarship. The scholarship award pays for all tuition, fees and books for one academic year at Lake Superior College in Duluth, Minnesota with opportunity for a second year renewal scholarship based on academic performance. Linnea Leonard of Cook County High School is the 2011 award recipient.
Linnea is the daughter of Bruce and Nancy Leonard of Grand Marais.
The Lloyd K. Johnson Foundation directors also announced the renewal of scholarship awards from previous years. Renewal scholarship are considered by the board for all recipients of the Post-Secondary School Scholarship that have, through the academic year, continued as a full-time student at Lake Superior College in Duluth, Minnesota; maintained a minimum GPA of 2.0 or above; and maintained satisfactory academic progress including completing all credits within the semester. The renewal scholarship pays for all tuition, fees and books for another academic year at Lake Superior College in Duluth, Minnesota. The Cook County graduates whose scholarships were renewed are Cody Anderson, Christian Cole and Haley Ruhanen.
The Lloyd K. Johnson Foundation directors and staff congratulate these students on this achievement and wishes them all the best as they pursue their academic goals.
