Living well with chronic pain workshop announced

Sawtooth Mountain Clinic is sponsoring the workshop, “Living Well with Chronic Pain,” which helps people develop a plan to stay active and live healthier in spite of chronic pain. It teaches practical and simple strategies to manage pain and pace activities to stay engaged. The objective is increased self-confidence to assume an active role in managing pain.

The workshop will be held from 5 to 7:30 p.m. Monday, June 4 – July 16 (except for June 25) in the Sawtooth Mountain Clinic classroom in the lower level.

This interactive workshop is open to adults with chronic pain, family members and caregivers. Trained leaders guide participants in finding practical ways to deal with their pain. This evidence-based workshop was developed by Stanford University and uses a standardized, proven methodology to help people develop goals for improved nutrition and exercise, a better understanding of treatment options and improved communications with family and doctors about their health plans.
