Thank you to everyone who came and ate pancakes at the Grand Marais Lion’s Club pancake breakfast benefit last Saturday and provided support for the Wes Hedstrom Scholarship Fund.
The event made it possible to fund four scholarships this year! Thank you so much – it was a great turnout, with great food, and we should all be very thankful to the Lion’s Club for contributing their time and effort to support local scholarships for our students. Sid Backlund, another Lion’s Club member, deserves a special thank you for hosting the event at Sven and Ole’s.
Funds raised for the Wes Hedstrom Scholarship are administered through Cook County Higher Education, and 100% of the contributions go entirely to the students. Thank you all for helping!
