The Grand Marais Lions and Lioness Clubs will be holding an informational meeting regarding their activities and service to community members of Cook County. As June is membership month for Lions and Lioness, they are hoping to have new members join their group. Members gain from giving, from the fellowship and the feeling of being a part of the community.
On June 2 from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Senior Center there will be an open informational meeting regarding Grand Marais Lions and Lioness Clubs and
Lionism.”
The Lions and Lioness Clubs ask you to stop by and bring your questions. Refreshments will be served.
The Grand Marais Lions Club was chartered in 1953 and is a service organization, both locally and internationally. The annual Grand Marais Fisherman’s Picnic is the largest project for the club and is looked forward to by people near and far, a great way to re-connect.
It takes many people and hours to plan and execute this festival. TheLioness Club (chartered in 1978) joins in with service hours and their own yearly fundraiser, the Lioness Buffet and Silent Auction.
