were designed by the American Heart Association with the goal of improved health by educating the public on how best to live. Teresa and Patty will introduce Life’s
Simple 7
and My Life Check
with an emphasis on women’s health. This simple, sevenstep checklist has been developed to deliver on the hope we all have—to live a long, productive healthy life.
Teresa Borak, RN has worked with the Sawtooth Mountain Clinic since 1996 coordinating the outreach programs, including prenatal education, WIC and community health education. She has also worked in the Cardiac Rehabilitation Department at the North Shore Hospital from 1996 – 2006.
Patty Doherty has been a registered nurse for almost 30 years, and has been a nurse at Sawtooth Mountain Clinic since 1993. At the clinic she participates in the coordination of Chronic Care Management and Diabetes Education.
The WBN luncheon is sponsored by Cook County Higher Education and the Northeast Entrepreneur Fund’s Women’s Business Network. All women interested in learning more about the American Heart Association’s Life’s Simple 7
are invited to attend the luncheon. The presentation and lunch will be held on Wednesday, March 3 from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. at The Crooked Spoon restaurant in Grand Marais. The cost for the luncheon and presentation is $12.
