Starting Wednesday, May 27, the public will see another expansion of library services. Grand Marais Public Library will add two additional days to their Pickup Window Program to provide 10 a.m. until 4 p.m. pickups Monday through Friday. Interlibrary loan services between Arrowhead libraries are quickly resuming, also. Many pending requests are already in transit.
Patrons gain access to the local and regional collections of books, audiobooks, DVDS and magazines by placing requests via the library’s online catalog, BookMyne app, or by calling the library. Newly arrived interlibrary loan materials undergo a quarantine process. When the order is ready, staff will contact the patron to schedule a pickup.
While public health remains a priority for our community, patrons are encouraged to stock up. Send one pickup person per household, wear masks and practice social distancing. Returns are accepted at the drop box. After collecting items at the window, please return to your vehicle. Stay home if anyone in the household is sick.
Grand Marais Public Library offers customer service by phone or email, Wi-Fi access, literacy building activity calendars, and digital collections available 24/7 via Internet connection. An archive of the One Book | One Minnesota talk with author Kate DiCamillo is available on the library’s website.
