Despite outhitting Ely seven to one, the Cook County/Silver Bay Sr. Legion baseball team lost one to nothing (1-0)
In a game played on Tuesday, June 14.
Kole Anderson took the mound for the Vikings, and he pitched a tremendous game, allowing one hit, one walk, one run and striking out 13 over six innings.
The game was called after six innings of play because of darkness.
Ely sent three pitchers to the mound. Loe pitched three innings and got the win. He allowed five hits, no runs, while striking out three. Kruse pitched two innings and Cherry finished the shutout for the Timberwolves.
Lucas Stadler led Viking hitters with three hits in three at bats. Amos Falter, Jacob Carpenter, Patrick Pierre and Hunter Gomez all had one hit for the Vikings.
Neither team committed an error.
