LeeAnne M. Lund
68, of Grand Marais died Saturday, October 30, 2010 at the North Shore Hospital in Grand Marais, due to complications related to a brain injury in 2005.
She was born April 25, 1942 to Phillip and Margot (Huntsberger) Larson. LeeAnne grew up in Edina, attended school in Washburn, graduating in 1960. She graduated from Normandale College, and worked as an R.N. in the Twin Cities. She married Robert Lund and moved to Grand Marais, where she worked in hospice and as Director of Nursing at the Cook County North Shore Hospital. Upon her retirement she enjoyed caring for TimberLund’s Cabins.
LeeAnne was a member of the Grand Marais Playhouse, acting in numerous plays, and the Bethlehem Lutheran Church. She enjoyed fishing, reading, walking the Croftville Road, and spending time with her grandchildren.
LeeAnne was preceded in death by her father, first husband, Bob Duede, and brother, Jerry Larson.
She is survived by her husband Robert of Grand Marais, children, Laurie Bradley of Grand Marais, Jon Duede of California, Melissa (Bryan) Lais of Shoreview, Minn; grandchildren, Travis Bradley, and Jennifer Bradley of Delano, Minn, Robert Lais, and Madison Lais, of Shoreview, Minn; mother, Margot Florell of Grand Marais; and brother Don Larson of Seattle, Wash; and many nieces and nephews.
Visitation and Memorial Service was Thursday, November 4, 2010 at Bethlehem Lutheran Church. Burial will be in Lakewood Cemetery at a later date. In lieu of flowers memorials are preferred to Bethlehem Lutheran Church. Please sign the online guestbook at www.cavallinfuneralhome. com
