Learn Ojibwe through Community Ed class

Are you curious about the language, culture, traditions and customs of the Anishinaabe? Are you a professional whose work would benefit from learning more about Anishinaabe culture?

If you are just beginning your study or are continuing to learn, you are welcome in a class offered by Cook County Community Education beginning Oct. 14. The class will be instructed by Tom Jack, one of only a few fluent Ojibwe speakers in the county. He will use discussion along with oral and written language practice to explore the world view of the Anishinaabe.

The classes will be held Mondays through Dec. 2 from 6 to 8 p.m. at the high school. For more information or to register, contact Community Ed at (218) 387-2000. There is a $60 tuition fee.
