The Cook County Invasives Team will offer a series of educational events this month, beginning with a Temperance River wildflower walk at 5 p.m. July 6. Participants are asked to meet at the parking area on the north side of Highway 61 to learn native and non-native plant identification and fun plant facts.

On July 20 a wildflower walk will be held at Cascade River, starting at the parking area off Highway 61 at 5 p.m.

Finally, on July 25 a Native Plants and Restoration Techniques workshop will be presented at Sugarloaf Cove Nature Center. The two-hour event will feature restoration planning and techniques including examples of native plants appropriate for different habitats and light environments. The workshop also includes a tour of a restoration area at Sugarloaf Cove.
