A class on beekeeping will be held Saturday, Feb. 18 from 9 a.m. until 5 p.m. Topics included will “be” starting and managing healthy honeybee colonies, performing routine hive management, identifying and inspecting for diseases and parasites, harvesting and packaging honey, and overwintering a colony.
Mike Goblirsch, graduate student with Marla Spivak from the University of Minnesota, will teach the class. Cost is $35 and includes all materials and lunch.
