Ailee Larson had a great fall running cross-country for St. Catherine University and while she set records for St. Kate’s, she also maintained a grade point average (GPA) of over 3.5. For that, the Lutsen native was recently awarded Academic All-MIAC honors.
Each winter, the Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (MIAC) honors outstanding fall season student-athletes for their participation in varsity athletics while also achieving at the highest level academically with Academic All-Conference honors.
Ailee is a junior at St. Kate’s. She recently learned that she has been running with a stress fracture in her lower back for the past year. She is seeking treatment for her injury and is hoping to run outdoor track.
Ailee is the daughter of Mike and Jana Larson of Lutsen. She is a 2011 graduate of Cook County High School.
