Larry Frank Gamer of Grand Marais, MN entered his heavenly home on Friday, December 16, 2022, at the age of 84.
He was born May 4, 1938, in Minneapolis, MN to Kenneth and Viola (Ahrens) Gamer.
Larry is survived by his wife Patricia; children Randy and Roxann; grandchildren Ashley, Brittany, Amber, Jared, Trevor, Tanner, Tucker; and great grandson Asher.
Larry loved the outdoors, was a skilled archer, fisherman, enjoyed singing and often whistled while he worked.
He loved plants and the woods and was proud to continue the family legacy of wreath making.
Through the years Larry worked for Oildyne in development of the first inoculation gun, in greenhouse construction for Malmborg’s Greenhouse and Garden Centers and Evergreen Originals, Hedstrom’s Lumber Company, was an independent logger, built many homes of his own and for others and was the first Fire Chief of Maple Hill Fire Dept, Grand Marais, MN.
His greatest joy was his family and Larry looked forward to the celebration of Heaven.
Memorial service will be Tuesday, December 27 at 2 p.m. at Cornerstone Community Church, 1 Cedar Grove Lane, Grand Marais, MN.
