What’s better than 76 trombones leading a big parade? The Lake Wobegon® Brass Band.
The Lake Wobegon® Brass Band is a 30-member traditional British band ensemble. Over the past quarter century, the group has toured the U.S. and England, performing in concerts and participating in educators’ conferences.
Led by conductor Michael Halstenson, The Lake Wobegon® Brass Band will perform works including U.S. brass band premieres of new pieces: “Cheers!” by Jack Stamp; “Dark Sky” by Michael Halstenson featuring euphonium soloist Eric Anderson of Grand Marais; and an adaptation of Leonard Bernstein’s “Three Dance Episodes,” transcribed for brass band by Michael Serber.
Don’t miss the opportunity to hear this remarkable group! They will perform on Saturday, March 7 at 7 p.m. at the Bethlehem Lutheran Church. The church is located in Grand Marais on the corner of First Ave West and Fifth Street.
Tickets are $20 for adults and $10 for youth ages 18 and under. The tickets are for sale (cash or check only) at the church only on the night of the performance at 6:30 p.m.
