Lake Superior College holds open house




Find new ways to cultivate your mind and career at Lake Superior College’s spring open house on April 19 from 3-6 p.m. Everyone is welcome, whether you’re starting fresh from high school, coming back to finish your degree, or seeking a career change. Summer session starts June 3 and fall semester starts Aug. 26.

More than 60 booths will feature information and demonstrations about various college programs. Free chair massages, refreshments, door prizes, and a drawing for a free Nook are available throughout the event. Information sessions are offered from 4-6 p.m., covering a variety of topics including the admissions process, financial aid, military benefits and Allied Health and Nursing programs.

LSC’s Associate of Arts, Associate of Fine Arts, and Associate of Science degrees allow students to complete the first two years of a bachelor’s degree prior to transferring to a four-year university or college. LSC also offers more than 70 certificates, diploma and degree programs in career/ technical fields. More than 130 online courses are offered through the popular e-Campus. These classes include fully transferable Minnesota Transfer Curriculum courses as well as electives, technical program courses and developmental courses.

LSC is northeastern Minnesota’s largest two-year college. LSC provides a wide range of programs and services, including liberal arts and science courses for transfer, technical programs intended to provide occupational skills, continuing education, and customized training for business and industry.
