A recent radio poll asked who the next Republican presidential candidate might be. Pawlenty? Bachman? Palin? Let’s call a spade a spade and put the Koch brothers in. They’re the ones behind all this hullabaloo anyway.
Last summer a New Yorker article about the Koch brothers kept me awake for nights. Koch Industries, the multi-billion dollar oil conglomerate, funds their multi-faceted attack against the Democratic Party, most recently their effort to take down the unions through their puppet governor in Wisconsin.
At first I couldn’t figure out why they wanted to battle the unions, since it wouldn’t benefit them and would have minimal influence on public coffers.
But then it came to me—
According to the New Yorker article, the Koch brothers’ beef with the government is the move toward environmental controls that eat into their vast profits. Koch Industries ranks among the top ten polluters in America, and they blame the Democratic Party for championing environmental controls. Their answer? Take the democratics out at the knees. To kill the Democratic Party they chose to destroy the unions.
The Koch tag team has done a remarkable job of misinforming and manipulating the public. Under the guise of bogus “political” organizations, they founded and funded the Tea Party, promoting lower taxes and less governmental control (environmental). They’ve poured millions of dollars into ads supporting republican legislators who’ll battle the unions— i.e. the Democratic Party.
As I said before, it’s time to call a spade a spade. Money talks, and if we’re going to give all the power to the Koch tag team, let’s just put them into the White House. Isn’t this country about promoting wealth for the wealthy? Who cares about the little guy anyway? Who cares about the environment? Vote for the Koch brothers.
