Another great season of Knowledge Bowl is under way. According to Knowledge Bowl Coach April Wahlstrom, the participants are dedicated. She said they meet for practice at 6 a.m. One benefit is that they get to enjoy beautiful sunrises while working their brains!

Wahlstrom reports that their hard work has paid off. The Cook County Knowledge Bowl team has once again come out on top. One of our teams has won some competitions and they have finished in second place in others.

Going into the tournament on March 16, Cook County is ranked in second place behind International Falls. “We will be hoping for another trip to the state meet,” said Coach Wahlstrom.

On the team that has garnered first- and second place finishes are Andy Kern, Adam Dorr, Kestrel Pollock, Maya McHugh and Leif Anderson. Cook County’s second team includes Marin Hay, Linnea Gesch, Abigail Prom, Lynden Blomberg, Jron Tamanaha, Lance Bartol and Jack Peck.
