Ken Wisneski,





 

 

Ken Wisneski, 56, died suddenly from a seizure disorder Sunday, September 14, 2014 at a family care home in Albuquerque, New Mexico. Born October 22, 1957 in Grand Marais, Ken was a 1976 graduate of Cook County High School.

In 1981 Ken was severely injured in a motorcycle accident in LaCrosse, Wisconsin.

He moved to Tijeras, New Mexico for a number of years, then returned to Grand Marais where he was employed at Buck’s Hardware. He returned to Albuquerque in 2004 and resided there until his death.

Ken had a strong bond with dogs that began with the family poodle, Mitzy and continued to every dog he ever passed on his many ventures. He learned the name of every dog he met and carried dog treats for them in his pocket.

Ken was predeceased by his parents Stanley and Joan Wisneski and his older brother Jim.

He is survived by his sister Carol (Roger) McCleary of Red Wing; brother Don (Sun) of Cottage Grove; sister Leona (Randy) Easley of Albuquerque; brother Larry (Karrie) of Duluth; sister Diane (Butch) Dailey of Wadena, Minnesota; nieces Sandi McQuatters, of Grand Marais, Alex Sorenson, Casey Benner, Dani Easley and Jacki (Stefan) Tomlinson; grandniece Trace McQuatters and grandnephew Breyer McQuatters of Grand Marais.

A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, October 11, 2014 at the Cook County Senior Center in Grand Marais from 1:00 to 4 p.m.
