Kay Forsberg McGiverin passed away in Tacoma, Washington, Aug. 19, 2012.
She had experienced severe symptoms of dementia for some time and died from a severe and long seizure.
Kay was a resident of Grand Marais from 1951 to 1955 and attended Cook County High School.
She enjoyed a loving and happy marriage of 57½ years to Wilfred McGiverin. They have three children Darrell McGiverin of Suzhou, China, Marvin McGiverin of Lakewood, Washington and Charleen Blanford of Phoenix, Arizona. They also have five grandchildren and three great-granddaughters.
Kay was the daughter of George and Inga Forsberg.
She is survived by four sisters: Irene Winborne, Millicent Johnson, Doris Stramara and Esther Ellis.
Six of her siblings preceded her in death, Arnold Forsberg, George Forsberg, Kenneth Forsberg, Donavan Forsberg, Margaret Larsen and Jacquelyn Short.
Kay will be dearly missed.
