We kicked off our Knowledge Bowl season with a great start. We had a young team out for junior varsity Knowledge Bowl with many new students who were trying Knowledge Bowl for the first time. They were led by just a few who have done it for a couple of years. The JV team was Leif Anderson, Andy Kern, Bryn Soland, Linnea Gesch, Greg Howe, Linnea Henrikson, Marin Hay, Maya McHugh, Abby Prom, and Jack Viren.
This was a fun team to work with. They each share a unique set of knowledge and it is fun to watch them uncover this so we can combine them in teams that work well together. We had two teams during the main season and they finished between 4th place and 12th place at most of the competitions.
We had one team make it to the tournament consisting of Maya McHugh, Leif Anderson, Andy Kern, Linnea Henrikson, and Linnea Gesch. They worked well together and at the tournament they came in 7th place.

On January 8, we will be kicking off our Varsity Knowledge Bowl season. Due to the past successes of our Knowledge Bowl teams, interest has increased and we had tryouts before Christmas break. We will have a young team this year and I am looking forward to working with them to help them develop their skills in this great event.
