Junior Legion blows by Proctor



Playing at home on Monday, July 10, the Cook County/Silver Bay Jr. Legion baseball team put on a show for their fans with a 14-4 win over Proctor.

The Vikings put up four runs in the first, one in the second, eight in the third to take and one in the fourth. a 13-2 lead into the fourth. Meanwhile the Rails scored one in the second, one in the third and two in the fifth, not enough to escape being ten-runned by the Vikings and the game ended in the fifth inning.

Amos Falter started on the mound pitching 3.1 innings. Amos gave up two hits, three runs, walked one and struck out eight Proctor batters. C. Smith relieved Amos. Smith threw 1.2 innings where he gave up two hits, two runs, walked one and struck out one.

Jacob Carpenter was 2-3 with four RBIs to lead the Vikings potent offense. Amos Falter was 2-3 at the plate as was T. MacGilvray and Ethan Tate was 2-4. Levi Sheils was 1-2, Jake Mixdorf was 1-2 with three RBIs.

Both teams finished with two errors.
