Judy was born Sept. 23, 1946, in Detroit Lakes, Minn., to Grant Vernon Terryll and Elsie Irene (Oxtra) Terryll. She and William (Bill) Harry Adams were married Dec. 17, 1966, in Durango, Colo. They and their three young daughters moved to Grand Marais, Minn., in 1977.

During this time, Judy was a Legal Instruments Examiner for the Migratory Bird Permit Program of the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service. She was proud of her work protecting wildlife.

This past year, Judy and Bill had moved to Omaha, where Bill was born, and the home of many family members.
