Joyce Almina (Jones) Reiman passed away peacefully on Sunday, December 11, 2022, at the Milaca Elim Home at the age of 96 years. A memorial service will be held at the Christian Reformed Church in Pease, MN on January 2, 2023, at 11:00 a.m., with a visitation one hour prior to the service. A private burial will take place at Maple Hill Cemetery near Grand Marais, MN. Arr. Peterson- Johnson Funeral Home – Milaca, MN
Joyce was born December 3, 1926, in Mudgett Township, MN. She was the 7th of 9 children born to Ralph and Nan Jones. Joyce graduated from Princeton High School in 1945. She married the love of her life, Albert Reiman, and they raised their 9 children on the family farm North of Princeton. Joyce enjoyed gardening, fishing, cooking and baking for her family and spending time in nature bird watching.
When they retired from farming, they moved to Grand Marais, MN. They constructed a hand-built cabin and made it their home for almost ten years. After Albert passed away, Joyce moved to Cloquet, MN for the next 15 years before moving to Milaca, MN. In 2017, she moved to the Milaca Elim Home where she resided until she passed away.
Joyce is survived by her children, Linda (Mer) Kiel of Grand Marais, MN, Susan Byker of Milaca, MN, Dianne (Tom) Ruis of Crosslake, MN, Trish (Mark) Walbridge of Duluth, MN, Richard (Margaret) Reiman of Princeton, MN, Daniel (Lisa) Reiman of Henderson, MN, Steven (Julie) Reiman of Renville, MN and Tim (Christine) Reiman of Highland, CA; 22 grandchildren, 38 great-grandchildren, 2 great-great grandchildren, and 2 sisters, Betty Loveland of Rogersville, MI, and Norma (Norman) Silver of Lake Oswego, OR.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Albert; son, David; son-in-law, Alan Byker, Parents Ralph and Nan, and siblings, Eunice, Harriet, Cleo, Chester, Marlyn, and Dale.
