Jordyn Kirk, a 2013 graduate of Cook County High School, has been awarded a CSSyes scholarship, a fullride tuition scholarship to The College of St. Scholastica in Duluth.
The scholarship is available to first-year freshmen. In order to qualify for CSSyes, students need to have achieved a minimum 3.0 GPA in high school and be Minnesota State Grant eligible. CSSyes covers a student’s tuition for all four years at St. Scholastica. It is open to students pursuing any major, in any field. There are a limited number of CSSyes scholarships available, and students must compete with a large pool of applicants.
“The CSSyes scholarship is a good expression of St. Scholastica’s mission,” said Eric Berg, vice president for enrollment management. “We have always served students from a wide variety of backgrounds, and we believe our entire community of learning is stronger because of it.”
Jordyn is the daughter of Carolyn Larsen and Jordy Kirk of Grand Marais.
