After 16 years of serving Cook County as a supervisor for the Soil & Water Conservation District (SWCD), Jim Hall is retiring. Jim is a humble leader and often encourages to see new programs implemented through the SWCD. Over the years, the board has been instrumental in implementing hundreds of conservation projects and practices.
From its beginning, the SWCD has played an important role in regional collaboration. Jim has consistently been the representation to groups such as the Minnesota SWCD Forestry Committee; Laurentian Resource, Conservation, and Development; North Shore Forest Collaborative; Cook County Aquatic Invasive Species Team; and the MN Association of Conservation Districts to name a few.
Jim has missed very few monthly meetings or committee assignments over his years of service and models a commitment to conservation that is vital to the health of this County. His knowledge and enthusiastic presence will be missed.
Join us in recognizing Jim for his public service on December 6 from noon to 1 p.m. at the Cook County Courthouse.
