Jill Terrill, Grand Marais business owner and entrepreneur, will present her story Threads of Success
at the next Women’s Business Luncheon, Wednesday, January 27.
Terrill said, “Although I’ve always loved the idea of entrepreneurship and have dabbled in it since elementary school, owning three businesses was never my vision or goal. I got here by accident, kind of.” Jill will outline the events that nudged her down this track, and discuss the trials, tribulations and unexpected surprises she has encountered along the way.
She will also explain the plans she has for “The Garage,” which will be opening early summer of 2010.
Jill Terrill is the owner of Uncommon Threads – a fiber arts business; Threads… Your Clothing Store on the Shore; and she is the principal officer for Joy Enterprises, LLC that is currently renovating and developing the former Lind Chevrolet building in downtown Grand Marais. She lives in Grand Marais with her husband Paul and their two children Emily and Isak.
The luncheon is sponsored by Cook County Higher Education and the Northeast Entrepreneur Fund’s Women’s Business Network. All women interested in learning more about Jill and her “entrepreneurial” efforts are invited to attend the luncheon. The presentation and lunch will be held on January 27 from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. at ThePie Place in Grand Marais. The cost for the luncheon and presentation is $12.
