James Leonard Olson (Grizz, Jimmer) toasts a farewell to his family and friends as he passed away on the evening of September 1, 2022, in his home with Dawn Huskey by his side at the age of 66 years old.
Jim spent his career of 50 plus years driving truck and was set to retire from Northland Constructors. His passions were driving truck (Local Teamsters Union 346), riding his Kawasaki motorcycles and snowmobiling across many states. Jim had a passion for animals and enjoyed spoiling his kitties.
He is preceded in death by his mother Shirley Ann Olson and is survived by his daughter Alicia Maye Olson of Duluth, father Donald (Judy) Olson of Grand Marais, brothers Terry Olson of Grand Marais, Greg (recently passed Mary) Olson of Grand Marais, sister Jerelyn (Robert) of Duluth, numerous nieces and nephews and his significant other of 30 years Dawn Huskey of Duluth
A family grave side service will be held at the Maple Hill Cemetery in Grand Marais Mn on October 8, 2022, at Noon.
Please join us to celebrate Grizz’s life from 2-8pm at the Community Center (317 West 5th St). Food and refreshments will be provided.
