It’s snowshoe season on the hiking trail




The Superior Hiking Trail is sponsoring guided hikes to encourage people to get out and enjoy the trail in winter weather. Participants must provide their own snowshoes.

A Saturday, March 6 hike begins at 10:00 a.m. and will go from Gun Club Road to Lake Co Rd 301 Trailhead – 3.4 miles. Participants will snowshoe along one of the newest sections of the Superior Hiking Trail. Follow scenic Silver Creek through mixed forests. Meet at County Rd 301 Trailhead. At Hwy 61 milepost 28.5, turn left on Lake Co Rd 3 and go two miles. Turn left on Lake Co Rd 301 (Fors Rd) and go 0.3 miles to the parking lot on the left.
