As another summer unfolds, the business owners along Highway 61 that provide services to the public must once again foot the bill for all their garbage. From the people who come out of the woods, to the cabin dwellers, to the motorists who walking to your facility and handing you their trash, all seem to have large bags of God knows what and expect someone else to deal with it.
I asked my county commissioner three years ago why the county doesn’t have a system for trash disposal for travelers. They want all these people up here, but have no plan to deal with them. I got brushed off.
Just another of many examples of the commissioners not doing their job in Cook County.
