To the businesses, residents and guests of Cook County:
The Grand Marais Lions wish to thank all of our sponsors who so generously gave donations to help us defray expenses and gift certificates for our prize drawings. We cannot hope to have a successful Fisherman’s Picnic without our local sponsors. Thank you.
We could not have wished for better weather. The success of the Picnic is weather dependent.
And we are also dependent on all of the Lions, Lionesses and volunteers who have given so much of their time and energy. Thank you.
And of course, we are so grateful for the residents of Cook County and all of our guests for participating in the activities. We wanted to make sure that the Picnic was family friendly and I believe we succeeded in that.
As the motto on our button says, “We’ll be back!”
