This weekend kicks off the long-awaited music festival hosted by WTIP North Shore Community Radio and the North Shore Music Association. Head on down to Sweetheart’s Bluff in the Grand Marais Recreation Area for the 4th Annual Radio Waves Music Festival September 10 and 11.
This year’s line-up reflects the incredible talent and diversity of North Shore musicians. “It was really important to us to be inclusive and to build a line-up that explores the talent of the area,” says WTIP’s Music Director Cathy Quinn.
The line-up offers a variety of genres, from rock to folk, jazz, swing, and country.
There will also be an open mic opportunity at 1:20 p.m. on Sunday, September 11. The festival has a large dance floor, on-site food vendors, and an area with creative projects for kids on Saturday and Sunday from noon – 4:00 p.m.
