Isola Grace (Iske) Christiansen, age 92, of Sun City West, Arizona, passed away on July 19, 2016.
She was born on August 21, 1923 in Fort Crook, Nebraska. She was a homemaker, wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.
She graduated from South Omaha High School. Isola was a lifelong member of Anderson Grove Presbyterian Church, Bellevue, Nebraska; also Westminster Presbyterian, Minneapolis and Desert Palms Presbyterian, Sun City West, Arizona.
Isola “Solie” was devoted to family and took great pleasure in being able to help care for her children, grandchildren and greatgrandchildren. She felt blessed to be able to have had such a long and healthy life, giving and receiving love. She died in her home after a short but intense battle with cancer. She was surrounded by loved ones at the time of her passing. Solie looked forward to reuniting with loved ones who had preceded her in death.
She is survived by her husband of 72 years Glenn L. Christiansen, Sun City West; daughter Glenda Hoffman of Surprise, Arizona; son Tom Christiansen (Marcia Hyatt) of Lutsen; brother Lowell Iske (Linda), Papillion, Nebraska; sister, Carol Suhr, Litchfield Park, Arizona; four grandchildren; six greatgrandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
Service is at 11 a.m. August 20 at Anderson Grove Presbyterian Church in Bellevue, Nebraska.
