An email message went out to all parents of children attending ISD 166 that the school district had its first confirmed case of COVID-19.
“We have been in close communication with our Public Health professionals that have supported our communications and contact tracing within our staff and students in our essential student care program. Along with our Public Health partners, we have and will be connecting with the families and those affected by this case.”
The email was sent Saturday, September 26.
Children who had close contact with the individual who has COVID-19 were notified. Parents of kids who weren’t notified were cautioned to “monitor for symptoms of illness, but (kids) do not need to stay home unless symptoms develop. If symptoms develop, stay home and consult with your health care provider to determine if medical evaluation is needed.”
