Iron Range Resources and Rehabilitation (IRRRB) Commissioner Tony Sertich has been named by Twin Cities Business magazine to its list of “200 Minnesotans You Should Know.” Governor Mark Dayton in January 2011 appointed Sertich as IRRRB commissioner.

The prestigious list features Minnesota’s up-and-coming leaders, agents of innovation, and builders of the outstate economy. Industry titans, creative geniuses, sports leaders and celebrities are also among the “200 Minnesotans You Should Know,” highlighted in the December 2011 Twin Cities Business edition.

“It’s an honor being selected to this respected list of Minnesotans,” said Sertich. “I think my inclusion on this list says less about me and more about the promise and hope of a vibrant future for northeastern Minnesota and the successful focus on public/private partnerships and regional strategy that is needed in rural America.

“The IRRRB’s focus is to reach out and ask businesses, communities and educators how we can help,” said Sertich. “We’re here to assist businesses interested in expanding or locating in northeastern Minnesota, to help keep our communities strong and to work in partnership with industry and education to train a world-class workforce.”

IRRRB is a state economic development agency headquartered in northeastern Minnesota whose mission is to invest in business, community and workforce development for the betterment of the northeastern Minnesota.
