Pastor Stew Carlson will be installed as the 10th pastor in the history of Sychar Lutheran Church in Silver Bay on Sunday, May 20 at 10 a.m. Carlson has been serving at Sychar since January.
Carlson is a graduate of Concordia College in Moorhead along with Luther Seminary in Saint Paul. Carlson comes to Sychar after having previously served at Our Savior’s Lutheran in Lamberton, Minnesota.
Participating in the Installation Service will be guest preacher Rev. Dr. Roy Harrisville Jr., Professor Emeritus, New Testament, Luther Seminary and Sychar Congregational President Dan Waxlax.
The Sychar Lutheran Church Women (SLCW) will be hosting a meal afterwards for members and visitors.
