Important votes to stop unraveling of “social fabric”

It’s time again to vote. To vote for important things. Like a president. Choices are one who is bad at his job and one who will be bad at his job. Then Congress—those people couldn’t even order a pizza and get that job done. They couldn’t agree on toppings; it would take months.

Then to local government—county commissioners. Now here’s where people of Cook County can fix things. The most important thing is to hold accountable the current board, remember their names, and never elect them back for what they have done to the taxpayers of Cook County and what they will continue to do to your checkbook after they are gone.

And finally to the two big questions on the ballot. Voter ID—some say no, it will take away your rights. Bull crap. Maybe not showing ID is why there were questionable votes in the Al Franken election. Or why a neighbor of mine years ago went to vote at the Schroeder Town Hall and when finished, announced that she was a convicted felon. I’d say it’s important.

Lastly, the right to marry amendment. Let’s see, a letter in last week’s paper said if I don’t agree with the gay community’s demands, I am a bigot. I’m also compared to sheep, bison, dolphins and God knows what else. Well now, there is a broad-minded educated person. Moose turds!

The unraveling of the “social fabric” is a one way, downhill trip you cannot undo. There is information showing that in 33 other states regular folks lose the everyday rights they have taken for granted thanks to the homosexual community. When this type of amendment is passed, it affects all aspects of everyday life.

Once it is in place and you can no longer say no, you have to live with it. Think and vote smart!
