Moguls Ice Bar, opening Dec. 26, offers Lutsen Mountains’ guests and ski enthusiasts great opportunities to enjoy the winter beauty of the North Shore and Lutsen Mountains, the Midwest’s largest ski destination.
Moguls Ice Bar is located at Caribou Highlands Lodge, slope-side on Lutsen Mountains and was hand-crafted by Chris Swarbrick, carving champion from the St. Paul Winter Carnival. It is fully accessible from the Bridge Run Ski Run and state snowmobile trails.
It features more ice than ever before: 70 blocks each weighing 300 pounds, all sculpted into an ice bar and game arena with turkey bowling, beer pong table and stump game; red lights in and around the 1,000 sq. ft. yurt will illuminate the ice, the bar and the entire area creating an incredible mustsee ambience.
There is also a menu of specialty drinks offered in shot glasses made entirely of ice and a yeti theme with an entire “abominable snowman” carved out of ice.
Moguls Ice Bar will be open Dec. 26 – Dec. 31 noon to 9 p.m., Fridays and Saturdays through mid-March.
