On June 25, 2012, 2nd Lt. Ian Sylvester graduated from missile training at Vandenberg Air Force Base in California. He was a member of the 329D Training Squadron.
Sylvester earned the Distinguished Graduate Award for top student in flight. It is awarded based on exceptional leadership, fitness and academic performance.
Ian is pictured with his wife Colleen. They reside in Cheyenne, Wyoming, where Ian is stationed at F.E. Warren AFB. Proud parents are Jeff and Annette Sylvester of Grand Marais.
Ian is a 2007 graduate of Cook County High School.
