Several hunting seasons are now underway. The Minnesota bear season continues until October 18. Moose season started on October 3 and continues until October 18. Deer hunting by bow opened September 19 and continues until December 31.
No stations have registered any deer as of Oct. 14.
Buck’s Hardware in Grand Marais is the only Minnesota Department of Natural (DNR) registration station reporting moose. Buck’s has had 27 moose registered, up from 10 last week.
Bear season is winding down and at press time only a few more bear had been taken and registered at the following local stations:
