Virtually every one of the 8 billion humans currently living on Earth will be dead by 2122. Any children born during that same 100-year time period who do not survive until 2122, due to natural causes, accident, disease, warfare, murder or suicide, will add to the total count of the deceased.
Should the birth rate of our species not soon fall below the death rate, the number of humans living on Earth in 2122 could still be above, likely well above, our current world population. Climate changes already occurring and an attendant competition for resources will certainly be amplified by any future increases in Earth’s human population.
Birth control services and the women’s ‘right to life’ may be the most effective ways to extend human tenure on our planet.
