Hub happenings

Why did the Senior Center change its name to THE HUB?

Well, youngster, it was because citizens thought that the Senior Center was only for SENIORS!

Yes, the HUB has ‘foot care’, mobility classes like ‘chair yoga’, fun card playing games several times during the day, but did you know the HUB also holds DMV-MN Drivers tests and Exams without going to Duluth, evening classes for YOGA, TECH Support for all ages. The Hub is holding its Annual “Back to School Supply Drive” during the month of August until September 9th. DID you know?

The reason for all this activity is because of volunteers!

At Fisherman’s Picnic on Thursday and Friday the HUB held a “Bake / Craft Sale” which was brought into existence and manned (or woman-ed) by many volunteers.

Volunteers hold TaiChi classes (Tuesdays), Live (ly) music (Thursdays).

Dining volunteers help in the kitchen or “Meals on Wheels” drivers and substitutes.

All programs and activities are open to everyone and all ages. If you have an idea or would like an activity or program not offered yet, please let us know!

Again, there are always comfortable chairs, popcorn and coffee for you and/or a group of friends. You are welcomed.
