Following up on a well-attended community meeting on March 18, community members are gathering once again to talk about the history of the Hovland area.
One of the few things on which there seemed to be consensus at that March meeting was that the Hovland Community Club should be restarted. A potluck and meeting has been scheduled for Saturday, April 16 from 6 – 8 p.m. at the Hovland Town Hall to discuss how the community should proceed.
Also to be discussed is whether or not to have a table at the Hovland Art Festival where people could bring old Hovland/Colvill area pictures to share and help identify.
East end Commissioner Frank Moe expressed appreciation to those who attended the March meeting and encouraged others to come celebrate spring and community. Everyone is asked to bring a dish to share, his or her own beverage, plate and utensils.
“I look forward to seeing you all on the 16th,” said Moe.
