Hospital/Care Center revenue down compared to last year




With inpatient days at the hospital down from projections and the care center down in numbers of residents, the budget for both institutions shows an operating loss of $15,135 for the month of August and a year-to-date loss of $742,528, which is behind budget by $519,897.

Including the non-operating income and tax levies, there was a net loss of $140,539 for the month.

Swing bed patient days are running 75 percent ahead of budget, but inpatient acute patient days were 36 less than budget projections for August.

Care Center revenues are running 6 percent less than the budget for the month of August, but are 3 percent greater than the year-to-date budget, and 10 percent greater than the same time period over last year.

Year-to-date acute and swing bed patient days and care center resident days continue to fall short of budget by 45 percent, 20 percent, and 6 percent respectively.
