The Gunflint Hills Golf Club had its annual meeting on Sept. 19. President Leonard Goodell led the meeting that had minutes of the April meeting read by Secretary Rosemary Lamson. That was followed by the treasurer’s report and election of officers. John Lindell was elected president for the ensuing year.
The meeting was followed with the annual steak fry. Walt Mianowski was the chef.
The Gunflint Hills Golf Course is still open and will be until the weather gets too mean. This summer had absolutely wonderful warm, sunny weather that was conducive to good golf. The course was beautifully maintained by Manager Mike Kunshier and Rob Staples. Thank you for your hard work, guys.
Thank you too to Rosemary Lamson and Bob Spry for handicapping and scheduling. That consumes a lot of time with not much gratitude.
Right now the course is so colorful with red and gold leaves, and Mike’s flowers. Flocks of birds are coming in and it’s a good time to be out there!
