The Cook County Senior Center has been undergoing some exciting changes recently. We have some new cheerful faces working here at the Senior Center. We have a new assistant director, Kristen. She has been working hard getting acquainted with her new job and getting to know all of the very special folks who visit the Senior Center. We also have a wonderful new Chef, Ann Kiral. Ann previously worked at Naniboujou and has been our fill-in chef for the past five years. We are thrilled to have her here permanently.
Lunch is served daily at 11:30 a.m. We also offer Meals on Wheels, if you need your meals delivered. We have a wonderful homemade frozen meal program to help fill those voids you may have for the evenings and weekends. These meals come with all the fixings, including milk and dessert. The food has been great!
We are having monthly dining raffle drawings. Local businesses have been generously donating gift certificates. In September, Ruth Humphrey was the lucky winner of dinner for two at the Angry Trout restaurant. In October, Stanley Suck was the lucky winner of a $25 certificate from Johnson’s Foods. This month, we will be drawing for a $25 gift certificate from Gunnar’s! Each time you come in and dine at the Senior Center for lunch, you will receive one entry. So come on in, enjoy the wonderful food and company and enter to win often!
